“I love this Schwinn A20 recumbent bike. I’m a 60yr old that doesn’t get out much in the winter because my husband is disabled. This gives me the exercise I need. It is quiet, and lightweight for a recumbent bike.
I wish Amazon would have told me to purchase the adapter. It runs well on the batteries, but the adapter is sold separately. I called and got one directly from Schwinn. Programming the bike is a little difficult at first, I didn’t realize you had to hit enter after each category, but I’ve got it down pat now. I’ve had my bike for a month and so far so good. I use it every day.”
“The important things for me are that the machine is quiet and solid. This exerciser is both.-quick note- mine took four d-cell batteries. There is an optional adapter to plug it in, but I didn’t get that.”
“Why five stars though? The Schwinn A20 recumbent bike costs 10% of what I spent on that fancy treadmill and is far far quieter. I like to watch TV while I pedal or run. At least that way I feel like I’m not totally lazy. I have to crank the volume to hear over the treadmill. I don’t have to crank the volume at all when I use this recumbent bike exerciser.
Yes, you can really burn some calories on this thing. Especially if you find yourself pedaling away for a whole movie.”
“The Schwinn A20 recumbent bike was a exactly what I needed. I am an active guy, but I have had many knee problems lately. I was worried this bike would not be able to provide enough of a workout for me because I am in good shape from playing basketball several times a week. This bike provided a very nice alternative to running on the hardwood. My knee always felt great after the workout.”Schwinn A20 Recumbent Bike Review Summary
This Schwinn A20 Recumbent bike review was a pleasure to do because it’s not very often you find a product that gets such a high percentage of great customer remarks. In fact, we could only find two or three customers in all that were not completely satisfied with the Schwinn A20 recumbent bike.
However, in any review it is important to hear the entire side of every story, so here are the complaints. One person heard tapping noises periodically coming from the drive train. They admit that after six months the bike is still working, but they are just waiting for it to die. One person had a valid complaint because the console failed after only a few uses and will not power up. They will be getting another bike that is not defective from Schwinn. And the last person had problems with the resistance motor and has sent this problem on to customer service. As a whole we definitely give the Schwinn A20 Recumbent Bike a “Thumbs Up”, and believe that for the price it is a great buy.
