Pros and Cons

There are a lot more Pros than Cons according to users. Most found the GE Dehumidifier as very efficient in removing the humidity from damp basements, garages and the various rooms in the house. Being an ENERGY STAR compliant device is a bonus in helping save on your electric bills. Most users also found it a relatively quiet dehumidifier.

Some users found it a bit bulky and heavy, others found the water bucket a bit awkward as well as a little noisy for bedrooms or living rooms. You can however reduce the noise level by reducing the fan speed (3 levels). As for the price it’s relatively more expensive than other dehumidifiers with similar characteristics, which you can find on our other Reviews.

Overall the ADER50LN GE is an excellent room dehumidifier or for use in the basement and is a definite recommendation.
